That requirement is now gone. Chronic pain patients must simply have been under treatment for at least 90 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dispensary Access Grows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of licensed dispensaries will increase from 3 to 15, ensuring at least one in each Texas public health region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Product Options<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cannabis products may now be offered in new forms, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Patches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lotions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vaping devices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Suppositories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inhaled aerosols (if medically necessary)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inhalers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nebulizers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Larger Prescriptions, Clear Limits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physicians can prescribe up to a 90-day supply of low-THC cannabis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each unit dose is capped at 10 milligrams of THC to maintain safety and consistency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-when-does-it-take-effect\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_Does_It_Take_Effect\"><\/span>When Does It Take Effect?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HB 46<\/strong> will go into effect September 1, 2025.
